🌱 PROGRAM OVERVIEW This internship is built as a bridge between classroom learning and clinical-field readiness. Think of it as your starter compass—pointing you toward assessments, therapy basics, counselling skills, and the confidence to handle real client scenarios one thoughtful step at a time. Our sessions unfold thrice a week—calm, steady, well-paced—so students can learn without overwhelm and grow without rushing. 📘 WHAT YOU WILL LEARN 1. Case History & MSE A strong foundation module that helps you understand: • How to structure a case history • How to conduct a Mental Status Examination • How professionals document, observe & evaluate emotional and behavioural patterns 2. Assessments (Hands-on Training) You will learn administration, scoring and interpretation for: Clinical Assessments • HAM-A (Anxiety) • HAM-D (Depression) • Y-BOCS (Obsessive-Compulsive Symptoms) • Beck Anxiety & Depression Inventory • ECR-R (Attachment) • Michigan Alcohol Screening Test • DAST (Drug Abuse Screening Test) Projective Assessments • Rorschach • Draw A Person • House-Tree-Person Self-Report Tools • Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale • Body Shape Questionnaire 3. Therapies Gentle, structured introductions to evidence-based modalities: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Understanding thoughts, behaviours, worksheets, and basic intervention planning. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) Learning how to help clients move from “problem-story” to “possibility-story.” Hypnotherapy A beginner-friendly exploration of trance states, suggestions, scripts & therapeutic use. 4. Counselling Skills The human heart of the internship: • Building rapport • Basic empathy & active listening • Questioning skills • Boundaries, ethics & professional conduct • Session flow management • How to talk to your first client
